About Cala Coffee Roasters
Cala began as a small home-roasting business and is owned by Josh and Mel Cosio. It grew into a coffee cart, then three cafés in Vestavia Hills, downtown Birmingham and Mountain Brook, with its own roasting warehouse. The cart serves espresso from Cala's own beans at weddings, offices and private parties across Alabama, and couples get a hand-painted sign to keep.
